Pancake Day the Cocomelt Way

As Londoners know, there's only one spot worth considering for outsourcing the flip-work.

This Pancake Day, Cocomelt, Soho’s premium chocolate café known for its delicious feel-good desserts, is inviting guests to skip the flipping and dive into what it does best.

Instead of traditional pancakes at home, Cocomelt’s menu is perfect for pancake lovers all year round. Guests can choose from Mini Pancakes, to viral Sushi Crepes and Traditional Crepes, all finished with rich Belgian chocolate, sauces and toppings.

One of the standout dishes on the menu is the Sushi Crepe (£11). Freshly made crepes are rolled and filled with toppings such as banana, brownies and strawberries, before being sliced into sushi-style pieces. Finished with chocolate drizzled over the top and served with a pot of chocolate for dipping, guests are encouraged to grab the chopsticks and get stuck in.

Alongside its more playful creations, guests can also enjoy classic crepe flavour favourites such as Banana, Strawberry, Brownie and Lotus Biscoff crepes, all drizzled with Belgian chocolate straight from Cocomelt’s fountains. Crepes are available from £8.

Wanting something more bite-sized? Cocomelt’s Mini Pancakes (£8) are ideal for a smaller serving of sweetness, drizzled with Belgian chocolate. Mini Pancakes are also available in platter size, perfect for sharing with friends, families or colleagues. Platters come with 50 mini pancakes (£45).

This Pancake Day, Cocomelt is proving that chocolate is the ultimate topping for any celebration.

Set in a high-pressure Mayfair fashion atelier, Where There Is No Time explores the cost of ambition in the modern fashion world. The play centres on Yusuf, a British Iranian-Yemeni designer preparing a career-defining collection while navigating competing pressures of heritage, commerce, and creative control.

At its heart, the play examines the tension between cultural identity and commercial success. Yusuf’s work is deeply rooted in his Yemeni Iranian heritage and the memory of his late mother, raising questions about whether global success requires the erasure or sanitisation of personal and political history. As commercial demands intensify, the story delves into loyalty, creative perfectionism, and the psychological toll of building a legacy.

Written by @mohammedallyhashemi, Where There Is No Time asks a timely and haunting question: in the pursuit of success, what are we willing to leave behind?

Co-produced by @sheyicxle, whose credits as an actor include Steve McQueen’s Small Axe starring as Alex Wheatle, Amazon Prime’s Atlanta and Netflix’s Boxing Day and Beautiful Game, and directed by @sha.movement, Where There is No Time will see Mohammedally Hashemi also starring as Yusuf in the production.

@alessandro.babalola, co-chair of Soho Theatre and as an actor is known for Top Boy, Wrath of Man and Unforgotten completes the creative line-up as Dramaturg.

Curated by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Executive Chef, Ben Boeynaems at @abckitchens.london, the gesture celebrates ingredients at their peak.

In place of flowers, Valentines guests will be presented with a seasonal vegetable bouquet, paired with a take-home recipe from Ben, bringing a taste of abc home and extending celebrations beyond the restaurant.

STAR-CROSSED NIBS: the dreamy new range from @montblanc

For literature lovers everywhere, the Meisterstück Romeo & Juliet Collection says it better than any jewellery ever could.

Drawing inspiration from Shakespeare’s tragic whilst reinterpreting the passion, luminosity and duality of this celebrated work of literature through refined materials, symbolic design details, and the Maison’s signature craftsmanship.

Feathers evoke Juliet’s celestial presence, echoing Romeo’s words: “O speak again, bright angel!”, as he compares her to a messenger from heaven. Leaves, inspired by Capulet’s orchard where Juliet unknowingly reveals her love and inner conflict, symbolise the sheltered intimacy of the young lovers’ first declarations of love. Thorn motifs on the cap top and cone are a reference to the family feud that taints their union with danger, echoing the impossibility of separating roses from thorns. Red accents atop each writing instrument in the collection pay homage to the colour of love, passion, and sacrifice.

Here at BANGLE, our favourite has to be the Meisterstück Romeo & Juliet Limited Edition 715 (pictured), which transforms the legendary tale into a sculptural masterpiece. Its limitation number pays homage to the play’s structure: “7” for the seven days over which the tragedy unfolds, “1” and “5” for Act I, Scene 5, when Romeo and Juliet first meet and instantly fall in love. Crafted from Ag 925 sterling silver with lacquered leaf motifs and adorned with three solid gold inlays, two representing doves and one representing the moon, the edition’s design mirrors the tension between beauty and fate.

The cap top features a mother-of-pearl Montblanc emblem set against red jasper stone, an ode to the colour of love and sacrifice, while the motif of thorny branches acts as representation of the couple’s tragic destiny. The handcrafted solid Au 750 gold nib engraved with “R + J” completes this poetic piece.
