From rooftop raves and gothic dinners to masquerades and mezcal-fuelled fiestas, here’s where to find the most unforgettable nights out this spooky season – the ones worth dressing up (and staying out) for.

Two nights. One Monster Ball. BAM Karaoke Box transforms into the Mayhem Room on 31 October and 1 November for a Lady Gaga inspired Halloween. Expect wild costumes, Belvedere fuelled karaoke, and prizes for the boldest looks. It’s your cue to go full pop icon.

Day of the Dead Fiesta at @losmochislondon

Forget ghosts, celebrate the spirits. Los Mochis brings Mexico’s Día de los Muertos to both its City and Notting Hill outposts with a weekend of music, mezcal and colour. Expect DJ sets, mariachi, theatrical performances, rooftop parties, and Chef Leonard Tanyag’s special menu. The tequila will flow until the candles burn out.

Forget trick or treat. This is pure treat. Dover Yard is turning up the dark glamour for Nightmare on Berkeley St., a one night affair on 31 October from 8pm till late. Expect moody lighting, seductive beats, and cocktails that look as good as they taste. Think of it as Mayfair’s answer to a midnight masquerade, no pumpkins, just polished chaos.

The Haunted Treehouse at The Nest, @staytreehouselondon

If you prefer your scares with skyline views, head up to The Nest. On 31 October, the rooftop bar becomes The Haunted Treehouse with eerie décor, Crystal Head Vodka cocktails, and DJ sets that could wake the dead. The city lights below, the music above, and a crowd too good looking to care about ghosts.

Located in East Dulwich, KOKUM is marking the festival with a limited-edition menu of festive specials available from 14th to 19th October, including dishes like Mussels Moilee, Kiwi Pani Puri, and Lamb Boti Kebaba with Guava Chaat. To sweeten the celebrations, guests dining on Sunday 19th October will receive a complimentary piece of freshly made barfi, a traditional Indian sweet.

2) If Michelin-recognised cuisine is more your bag, you’ll love @farzilondon in Haymarket, hosting an all-you-can-eat Diwali Special Sunday Brunch celebration on 19th October, featuring a delicious buffet of dishes from Paneer Shahi to Chicken Rizala Kebab, Mutton Badami Korma, Prawn Moli and Beetroot & Paneer Curry. There will also be live cooking stations such as a vibrant Chaat Counter, Pani Puri as well as a dessert buffet featuring assorted Mithai and Diwali specials. The Diwali celebratory brunch will also have live music and entertainment, henna and face painting for all of the family to enjoy. In the evening, a Special Diwali Thali menu will also be available.

3) At @chookchooklondon in Putney, this year’s Diwali festivities are centred around the vibrant flavours of an authentic Indian Thali. Available in both vegetarian and chicken options, each thali brings together a delicious array of dishes from rich curries and aromatic biryanis to fresh raita, naan, and indulgent Gulab Jamun served with a refreshing Mango Lassi. Highlights include Paneer Makhni, Railway Chicken Curry, and House Black Daal all thoughtfully curated to reflect the spirit of the festival.

4) This Diwali, the vegetarian restaurant, @omnom at Namaste in Islington is hosting a vibrant five-day celebration from 16th-20th October, featuring a festive Diwali Thali for £22.95 with standout dishes including Punjabi Samosas, Panchkutiyu Shaak, Kaju Paneer Masala, Tadka Daal, butter naan, pilau rice, and Gulab Jamun.
