Summer Is Served: A Sip-and-Share Celebration at London's Yauatcha

by Yvette Thomson

There’s something quite glorious about the first proper sip of summer. That golden-hour spritz, the celebratory clink of a flute, the fizzy flirtation between citrus and spirit – and nobody is capturing that seasonal sparkle quite like Yauatcha.

Now on at both Yauatcha City and Soho, Summer is Served is more than just a menu – it’s a sun-drenched moodboard of cocktails, coolers and shareable bites made for terrace lounging and toast-worthy evenings. Think of it as your passport to pleasure, with stops including watermelon-soaked tequila, rosé in all its blushing glory, and a hibiscus tea that’s prettier than a Pinterest picnic.

Rosé and Reposado, Darling

This year, Yauatcha City is also blowing out ten very stylish candles. Naturally, this calls for a celebration – one that’s drenched in rosé and doused in Don Julio. In honour of its milestone birthday, the terrace is being transformed into a poolside hacienda, complete with a roaming spritz trolley serving up complimentary sips of Don Julio Sunset Spritz. Consider it a mini holiday in a glass.

The drinks menu is a love letter to summer’s lighter side. The Watermelon Paloma is as juicy as it sounds – Don Julio Blanco meets Aperol, lime, grapefruit and rhubarb soda. If you prefer your tequila with a botanical twist, the Yauatcha Royale is an elegant mix of mint, tarragon, tangerine and aloe vera – topped, naturally, with a splash of Champagne.

But the real scene-stealer? The Rosado Spritz, showcasing Don Julio’s pink-hued Rosado tequila, aged in Ruby Port casks and practically designed for golden-hour Instagramming. It’s bold, blushing, and a little bit boujee.

Small Eats, Big Energy

Of course, no summer sipping session is complete without a few exquisite nibbles. While the Summer is Served menu spotlights the drinks, the supporting cast of small eats from Yauatcha’s main menu is worth lingering over. Light, elegant, and made to be shared (or not), these are the sort of bites that pair perfectly with a second round.

And for those looking to stay clear-headed but equally refreshed, the Hibiscus Tea – with raspberry, pink peppercorn, lemon, and rhubarb soda – is an alcohol-free triumph in both taste and appearance.

Terrace Days and Dim Sum Nights

Whether you're stopping by for a midweek spritz or staying long into the evening with a round of dim sum and a bottle of Whispering Angel, Summer is Served is Yauatcha’s elegant reminder that the season is for savouring. It’s terrace weather with a side of sophistication. It’s a birthday bash with rosé and dumplings. It’s your next great reason to book that table.

Catch it before the leaves turn – Summer is Served runs until 23rd September 2025.
